Avast on Vista 5381

I have installed Avast 4.7 Home On Vista 5381 and it seems to work upto a point, all it's processes are running but I have no Taskbar icon, it's not hidden, it's just not there!
Has anyone else run into this?
Rob.

Check this, it's a little outdated but I'll update it today. http://www.vistabase.co.uk/welcome.php?subcats/applications/antivirus
5308 and upwards count - anything before 5231 was still to near to the XP sorta codebase, which is why a lot worked or didn't work. 5308 and up is more specific if that makes sense :o)

How bout all releases after 5308???
Sinds build 5342 i dint get able to install any anti virus at all, none of them are working. Din't try on 5381 but i guess they still wont work.
Altho if 5381 will become public beta (not sure if the public beta will be the same build ...) anti virus companies should make theyre software run on it.

I know - same with me. However, we all said a couple of builds ago that the next one would be Beta 2... nothing as yet, but I do know that Beta 2 will be a 54xx something, just don't have any direct evidence to show it :o(
